Our Expectations and Goals
Our primary objective remains ensuring a safe, healthy, and sustainable environment for every member of our team.
Each one of us plays an integral role in achieving these goals. By fostering a culture where near misses are reported and addressed promptly, we take significant strides toward preventing potential accidents and ensuring a safer workplace for all.
Initiatives
JECS EHS continues their commitment of utmost safety as they have once again achieved RoSPA Gold Award for the year 2025.
The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) is a leading voice in health and safety that campaigns to reduce avoidable accidents at home, on the road, at work and at leisure.

As part of its ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts, Jardine Engineering Singapore organised a Family Beach Cleaning event at East Coast Park. The initiative saw enthusiastic participation from employees and their families, who collectively removed 175 kilograms of litter from the shoreline.
The event aimed to raise awareness about environmental sustainability and the importance of community action in preserving natural spaces. Through this initiative, JECS reaffirmed its commitment to making a positive impact beyond the workplace.

On 16th – 19th October, 2024, JEC Singapore EHS team commenced a regional visit to JEC Thailand. The objective of the trip is to gain insights that will contribute to the organization’s ongoing safety documentation digitalization and local safety industries exhibition.
During the trip, JECS gained insights about the digital transformation of safety management using Sharepoint and Power BI. Then, they also had the chance to visit the EGAT Learning Centre to understand the electric power generation plant in Thailand, followed by learning JECT Sustainability Framework. Lastly, JECS had the chance to visit Thailand’s Safe At Work Knowledge Development Centre & Exhibition, as well as 3M Training Centre to hear the sharing of 3M’s latest safety product.

JECS Management conducted feedback sessions with the site staff on July 17 to gain valuable insights into their daily work processes while also placing strong emphasis on workplace safety. These discussions not only helped us better understand the challenges faced on the ground but also allowed Management to identify areas for improvement, ensuring that both operational efficiency and the well-being of our employees remain top priorities.

On 16 July 2025, the EHS team from JECS held the Responders Plus Programme brought by SCDF. Jardintarians learnt about essential skills for emergencies such as CPR, AED, fire safety and tending wounds. We also had the chance to practice these skills, thanks to the equipment brought by SCDF.
Emergencies can happen when we least expect them. But with the right knowledge and quick response, we can step up with confidence to help others — or even ourselves.
Big thank you for the EHS team and SCDF for hosting the programme, as well as the Jardintarians for their participation!
