On 14 March 2025, the announcement and award presentation for the “Grand Award Champion” & Runner-Ups was held at JEC Spring Dinner. Our Jardintarians from EHS (Muhammad Nur Hidayat, Ariff Sahari, and Desmond Chiang) has won the Grand Award Champion Runner-Up Award. We hear from their perspective how they prepared for the Championship.
*What did you present for the Grand Jardine Championship 2024?*
The title of our topic was “Building a Culture of Safety & Well Being: A Commitment to Excellence.”
*How did you prepare for the championship, and what challenges did you face along the way?*
A series of safety campaigns are planned throughout the year by our team, assisted by the P&C department. Communication was one of the challenges that we had to overcome, because we had to ensure all planning and information are made known by all the team members.
*Was there a specific moment in the competition that stood out to you?*
For us, it’s the key to building a safety culture, as well as driving knowledge, ownership and accountability for safety, health and well-being for all our employee in JECS.
*What was the biggest lesson you learned from this championship?*
Executing the safety protocols for all the Business Units we manage with limited safety resources.
A system must be implemented to ensure that the safety protocols are well-executed.
