ISO 19650 is an international standard for Information Management Using Building Information Modelling (BIM), designed to enable effective and efficient management of construction projects. In our Shek Wu Hui Effluent Polishing Plant – Main Works Stage 1 project, we are committed to adopting full BIM technology throughout the entire project lifecycle — from design and planning to final handover — in accordance with the ISO 19650 standardized framework and the approved BIM Execution Plan. By utilizing a Common Data Environment (CDE), we ensure a single source of truth that supports seamless BIM collaboration and coordination, document approvals, and issue management. This foundation enables efficient project execution and robust data governance.
A wide range of BIM applications have been implemented, including design review, 3D coordination, drawing generation, 3D virtual reality (VR), 4D phase planning, digital fabrication, cost estimation, as-built modelling, and asset management. These are powered by advanced technologies and innovations such as 3D laser scanning, BIM automation, BIM-based Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) systems, and VR/AR tools, reinforcing our commitment to digital excellence and project efficiency.
